Over the past few months, I’ve been been writing a LOT! I’m also pouring my heart and energy into something I’ve dreamed about for years: a full product line designed with nature, symmetry, and sacred geometry at the core. As the work evolved, it became clear that what I was creating wasn’t just another iteration of the classic zome which is where the inspiration initially stemmed from… it was something entirely new.

That’s when the name “zzomm” was born.

I wanted a word that reflected innovation while still holding onto the spirit of the original. ZZOMM felt right instantly – architectural, balanced, almost mirrored in its symmetry. It embodies the simplicity and harmony we strive for in every Helix Habitat project. And honestly, it just looks beautiful. A name with geometry built right into it as well as being instantly distinguishable from other brands.

But what truly sets the zzomm apart is what we’re preparing to reveal soon:
radical variations and structural ideas that take the traditional zome concept into unexplored dimensions. Designs that haven’t been seen before. Forms inspired by nature, informed by sacred geometry, and refined through the lens of PHI – the golden ratio that has shaped beauty throughout the universe.

Announcing the ZZOMM Builder; A Children’s Toy for Young Creators

One project I’m especially excited about is the ZZOMM Builder – a children’s toy I’ve been quietly developing behind the scenes. It’s a hands-on, endlessly creative building system that helps kids (and adults) explore geometry, balance, and spatial thinking through play.

Just like our architectural work, the ZZOMM Builder embraces PHI, symmetry, and pattern.
We’ll be launching it on Kickstarter soon, and I can’t wait to share more.

The digital home for this whole adventure is now live at zzomm.us, and we couldn’t be happier with how it came together. Finding a clean, simple domain name in 2025 is like searching for a gem in the ocean – nearly impossible – but we found one that feels perfect.

The new site features:

• An evolving store, where zzomm plans and products will start appearing soon
• A smooth, modern interface designed around clarity and creativity
• A scroll-scrub 3D zzomm flip animation on the homepage – a little touch that hints at the dimensional thinking behind the brand
